Probe

A measurement by probe is a measurement system facilitating the taking of data during an intervention …

This involves probing on a test (often the first of the session or of the day) the skill, without prior guidance or reinforcement on the session.

To use ABA-assistant, we offer:

1-Create the program: (If necessary, see the sheet “Create a program” https://behavior-analysis-technology.com/en/create-a-program/)

In “Program name”: the target behavior (eg.: TACT – cat)

For “Session type”: select “Work session”

For the “Type of measurement”: select “Continuous (event)”

Select your group of favorite behaviors/variables if you have one that can suit your chain, otherwise leave nothing (for “favorite behaviors/variables see https://behavior-analysis-technology.com/en/create-a-favorite-behaviors-variables-group/) (you can add them on the “Goals and programs” tab of the folder. For the Probe, we recommend to use “1” and “0” )

If necessary, create your first phase (see the “Create a program” sheet) with the duration of the interval

YOUR PROBE DATA COLLECTION IS CREATED!!!!

You just have to follow the results of your procedure and make it evolve according to the data. You can note the changes in your program on your graphs (generalization, date of the maintenance test, etc.) thanks to the addition of phase line.
